But actually I don't dare to tape the gig. Montreux Jazz has a strict taping policy and I won't risk to be banned

If they don't allow filming... will they be doing their own filming, I wonder? I think battyann has some Montreux Jazz Festival footage on her multiply site... I don't know who provided it, though... Guess I'll go take a look... Hopefully, they'll film Paolo's performance!!!

K@...do you remember Slouchie telling us that Paolo probably wouldn't be invited back to Montreux Jazz fest this year...
because almost no-one is invited back once they've played there!

EVERY,I mean EVERY performance at Montreuxjazz will be filmed. They got a huuuuuge video archive. In former years they did a live stream web broadcast but stopped it, i bet for copyright reasons, too many people out there know how to rip that stuff and they want to be exclusive.
I was even able to see my own performance that way, i think it was in 2001 (I was playing percussion..)
Some snaps will be found at the offical page later and some highlights will be on sale on DVD.
But swiss and french TV broadcast the best shows from last years festival about 2 or 3 months before a new festival (in spring).

This years Quincy Jones show will be broadcasted FOR SURE cause it will be the festival's top act show.No live stream...maybe it will be in TV next year

And btw...this is Paolo's third invitation to Montreux Jazz, first being part of the Ahmet Ertegun show (2006), 2007 with an own show, and this year being invited to be part of the top act show.
