I think I've seen Paolo about 8 or 9 times, but I'm the same as Dawn and first saw him back in August 2004. Smiler

3 times so far...
Not a lot.. but then again, he hasn't been touring a whole lot around here.
Maybe I'd do a stalker tour for him if he did a European tour in the summertime. Even though I'm not sure I'm a big enough fan of Paolos to wanna spend so much money on that.
Still.. roadtrips are so much fun... I'd consider it Razzer Just as long as it aren't festival gigs, cuz festivals are far too expensive.

I would love to see him do a festival this year in Holland!!
I am for sure going to Lowlands and maybe Pinkpop it depends on wo is coming.
So if he could make it to one of these's that would be great Smiler

Festivals are too big for my liking. At least for someone in Paolo's genre.
I only wanna see real festival acts on festivals. The ones that know how to make noise and how to get an entire field jumping...

I don't usually go to the big expensive festivals. Mostly because I've already seen the acts that I really wanna see on their own headlining gig, then somehow, in my opinion, the festival performance can never seem to top that experience. So then I've basically been paying for those overpriced tickets for no good reason Razzer

Ieder zijn eigen ding Smiler
Last year was my first time at lowlands and i totally loved it!!
Paolo was there as well and he did a great job, he was in a smaller tent and i thought it was perfect for him. After that show i bought his cd and from that moment on is was totally hooked, so for me festivals are a good thing Smiler

I'm liking festivals! I saw Paolo at one (reeperbahnfestival in Hamburg), but it was different from the huge festivals Gosjke is talking about as it was an imitation of the Austin SCXS or something festival. Over 200 acts played 20 clubs/bars (some of them were really tiny) in 3 days. They had loads of unknown and known artists, Paolo played a middle sized venue and it was completely full.
The tickets were very expensive but I neednt to worry about that. We were on a class trip during the time so everybody from my class including my teachers were so so jealous Big Grin

Second gig was Cologne.

To be continued.... Wink

Don't get me wrong.. I don't DISLIKE festivals. I went to Rockin Park 2 years ago and to Pinkpop last year and I like the atmosphere.
Wanted to go to Lowlands, but couldn't cuz I was busy stalking an artist across Europe...

BUT... since I see a good lot of normal headlining gigs during the year.. I've already seen all the headlining acts on a festival. And the 100something price for a ticket just usually isn't worth it to me unless the line up is insanely good Razzer Going to a festival for me equals having to save up for over 8 months to be able to afford it. Red Face

Hmm.. no they aren't.. I think.
Last thing I heard, about 2 weeks ago, Jan Smeets says there was almost zero chance of that happening, since 2 of the bandmember's wives are pregnant and they aren't playing a lot of gigs this summer to be with their families.

I'v heard it around christmas when 3fm's serious request was going on. Some organisation said it was 99% certain that they would come. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I know.. I heard that too.. They were almost booked but before they signed the contract 2 of the bandmembers found out their wives were pregnant.. and due somewhere in the summertime, so they cancelled the whole deal.
