It will be worth it! Theres a few fans here that have flown thousands of miles across America just to attend a Paolo gig and just as recently at last week-ish one of his international fans from America arrived here in Glasgow for 4 gigs in one week & she says it was worth it, every dime Smiler

I'm heading out to Switzerland next month for a Paolo gig out there, this will be my third year in a row seeing them in Switzerland (1st two were Montreux Jazz Festival)

You all coming too? Wink

Welcome, Thommo. Just be prepared. I am saving now so that I can go to Scotland next tour. I am seriously thinking about selling everything I own and following them from place to place until I run out of money! Once you see them perform live, you just want to relive the experience over and over. I am so jealous of these amazing fans who have seen Paolo and the Vipers 10, 12, 16, 20 times....but I plan on catching up with them! Enjoy Sydney! You are so lucky!
Saw Paolo last night for the first time in Sydney and he was fantastic, one of the best concerts I have ever been to. I am now completely hooked and will have to see him again and again and that of course means going overseas so more overtime. It was not just a concert it was an event and I fell so LUCKY to be one of only about two thousand people in Australia this year to see him. I do have one question for the aussie fans what is wrong with our radio stations here I have not heard ONE song off the new album are we that far behind the rest of the world.

Hey Thommo, I'm so pleased you had a great time. Next stage of Nutini-itis is PPB's (Post Paolo Blues). Your going to need youtube more than ever now Wink

Just kidding - Its nice to read something good & positive. What was your highlight of the night? did you connect with a favourite song?

I think if your radio stations arent playing Paolo yet then you could bring him to their attention? I email & text two radio stations daily (except weekends) asking for Paolo to be played. Works a treat here Big Grin

Song of the night for me was Lead in My Pencil for a number of reasons. 1 I love the songs it's such a feel good song 2. the venue was built in 1908 and i was standing in the dance floor section on a tempary raised floor which held about 100 people mainly young girls of course. When he sang Pencil we all went crazy dancing up and down which made the whole floor bounce up and down about 3-4 inches so it was like being on a trampoline with a hundred people a great sensation 3. standing beside me was a mother in her mid 40's and her teenage daughter and they were jumping up and down like the rest of us and they were hugging each other and crying, you could the tears of joy and excitement rolling down both their faces it was so beautiful. So all these things put together made that the song of the night for me. I am going through an extra stage of PPB because while I was in Sydney I put my CD of SSU in her CD player so she could hear it but it got jammed and we could not get it out so now I don't have a CD of SSU until I get to buy a new one. Will try hounding our local radio stations so Paolo gets even more popular here in Australia and will have to come back.

Going through next stage of PPB, I was planning to go see some up comming concerts here in Brisbane such as Diana krall but now not so sure as cannot got get that excited about any other concert other than Paolo. Is this normal PPB or am I just a sick puppy and will come out of PPB eventually ?.

Thank you so much all I need now is to get some speakers for my computers. Not good with computers or U tube but now have reason to learn more and quickly. I was on such a high after concert I walk from Enmore to Wynard station just to come down (2 1/2 half hours). Didn't help though still on a high.

just a question,
Did he interact much with the audience at the Melbourne or Sydney shows or was it song after song??

I didn't think he interacted much with the audience at the Sydney show. It was song after song and a sip of red wine between songs every now and then. He did not ignore the audience he interacted with them through his music.
