Ive only had the chance to write some of the lyrics down. I got to go out. I'll do the rest when I get back or maybe someone else can fill in the bits ive missed and the rest of the song?

Take this pill because your ill, I bet you didn’t even know
Take one in the day and one in the night and feel their problems go
And so the tubs fly off the shelf for the benefit of that kid’s mental health
And everybody’s scattlin rattlin ritalin around

Coz there’ll be times that you feel the ???.
There be times that you feel good
And there’ll be times that you feel like doing what you really know you shouldn’t
Oh so take your ??? and let them in through ????? which your every right
The chance will arise most each and every night

Take this pill because your ill, I bet you didn’t even know
Take one in the day and one in the night and feel their problems go
And so the tubs fly off the shelf for the benefit of that kid’s mental health
And everybody’s scattlin rattlin ritalin around

Oh my kids too vibrant
Give me some ritalin…
Oh he’s giggling
Give me some ritalin
Oh he makes mischief
Give me some ritalin right now
And he has to be told
Oh he can be destructive
Give me some ritalin
And he can be antsy
Give me some ritalin
But let’s not forget the kids only 8 years old
Ohhhhhhhhh

Oh you say take this pill because your ill, I bet you didn’t even know
Take one in the day and one in the night and feel their problems go
And so the tubs fly off the shelf for the benefit of that kid’s mental health
And everybody’s scattlin rattlin ritalin around

In west Philadelphia born & raised...

to be continued..... i really need to rush... sorry

I've filled in what I can...

Take this pill because your ill, I bet you didn’t even know
Take one in the day and one in the night and feel their problems go
And so the tubs fly off the shelf for the benefit of that kid’s mental health
And everybody’s scattlin rattlin ritalin around

Coz there’ll be times that you feel the depressed.

Give me some ritalin
Oh he makes mischief
Give me some ritalin right now

In west Philadelphia born and raised the playground is where I spent most of my days chilling out, maxing, relaxing out acting all cool shooting some b-ball out side of the school when a couple of guys that were up to no good started making trouble in my neighborhood I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and said you moving with your auntie and uncle in Bellaire.

I whistled for a cab and when it came in the license plate said fresh with a dice in the mirror if anything I can say that this cab was rare, but i thougth naw forget it, yo homes to Bellaire.

I pulled up to the house i grabbed my things and I yelled to cab yo homes smell ya later I looked at my kingdon I was finally there to sit on my throne as the Prince of Bellaire.

The end is the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air (with Will Smith). I wonder if that's really part of the song or if Paolo just added that for the live show.

Thank you very much. Is the Song written by Paolo? It is a very special theme for me.(Which is in many songs from Paolo) Iam wonder Smiler but i find it good. One of my sons has Asperger-Syndrome (autism)and ADHS (in Britain i think it is ADD??) the doctor give him the pills and it was not the best for him. He became depressed and say to me: I wanna die. He was 7 years to the time. Now he is 9. The Song has touched me becaus of this. I hate the pills that make my baby ao ill as ill he was befor. Frowner
So that is my personal story. When i remember it give many personal stories which had a relation with songs from Paolo. its strange

Have a nice evening you all

Rosa,
Paolo introduced the song as one he had written after reading a pamphlet that elementary school children (as he said, "most of them, man...too many, too many!) were being "fed" Ritalin across the states.

Rosa...I have aspergers myself..no meds needed and even antihistamines will give me big depression...auspies must avoid anestheticts(sp?)also...
It is the reason iI became an acupuncturist...
to heal naturally with herbs...not drugs...

I also worked with the dept. of education and dept. of mental health in ALL of Kauai, Hawaii's pre-school to high schools! I worked with a program that helped these kids for several years...by the time I left Kauai, very few kids needed Ritalin...though a very small minority of true brain tested ADHD kids did need it....and they were very closely monitored by teachers, psychologists at their school to help their low self esteme, psychiatrists to change/stop meds and their parents....and the hard-core ADHD kids themselves liked the Ritalin so that they could control their impulses that created the unwanted chaos in their lives.

But most of the normal active kids were taken off the meds and teachers/parents were taught how to channel that extra energy into positive experiences for the kids....

At first, some parents/teachers were either lacking in skills or were too lazy to use the skills they had to help the kids...after some training/understanding, the parent/teachers saw how happy the kids now were and that motivated them to help the kids even more....

Paolo is really in touch with what concerns us the most....Amazing isn't it?...were all connected!

Also for the Aspy part...
Noreen Davis of New Jersey...has a sound therapy program...you can google her...

It helps aspys/auties to re-integrate(sp?) their brain waves with sound....

And of course I just use Paolo to self medicate my brain waves....LOL!

Hey Kimpy,

the doctor who had diagnostic my son had study in Havard but we living in germany. aloud tests iam a Asperger too.
How does it feel on concerts for you? For me it is very stressful. The Lights, the loudness, the thousand of people while i love the music.
I like to make a Hippotherapy with my son, but i dont have money for it.
Since 3 years iam looking for the right scool for my son. its a horror.
What you say about your therapy is interesting. If i would be in near i wanna come and make this things.

hopefully it don´t give trouble with the brand "Ritalin" with the pharmaconcern.

Rosa...google Noreen Davis...and call her...the sound integration therapy was developed in Europe...and some countries include sound treatments in their health care benefits for free!

Noreen may know a sound therapist in Germany...as to the stress of concerts...I agree it is very difficult to attend them....once Paolo comes on stage I can hyper-focus on him...and forget about the stress of the crowd...
I'm 55 years young and have adapted over the years to deal with the Aspie limitations and rejoice in the Aspie gifts....but as a child I was undiagnosed and endured a lot of abuse by unknowing parents/sibling/teachers/ex-friends and strangers...finally knowing what I had was liberating!

Wow, this forum never ceases to amaze me! Overmedication is something I, too, feel very strongly about. What a fun tune, and yes, I also hope he doesn’t run into trademark trouble.

Autism is being diagnosed more readily because the definitions of autism have broadened, and at the same time more specific types of the disorder (like Asperger’s) have been recognized. Here’s a good article explaining this theory. There are huge non-drug advances being made with Asperger’s; another good program is mentioned here.

Paolo left school at sixteen and I’m sure he has had his own issues. Creativity is often not rewarded in our society but rather stifled as kids are encouraged to conform. He has also mentioned experiencing extreme stress and depression while touring. Pills are handed out on the road as a quick fix for everything from insomnia to jetlag to stage fright. I’m sure he’s seen it all and seems to be handling that sort of pressure well.

Good one, Paolo! I’m so happy he is addressing this issue…

Thank you Kimpy.Iam my own sound-therapist and Paolos Music too (of course). His music start my doing to play guitar and sing.(not pretty but rare)

It gives many diagnostics. In germany the doctors are very careful with this. It gives few medics for it.
Sure he had seen many things Wink

Once again KIMPY volunteers to be Paolo's personal Acupuncturist on the Road!....
P.S. I'll never stop suggesting this....Paolo and the band should suggest this perk to Atlantic....afterall some groups have their browm M&M's removed at every concert!LOL!:>Wink
