Summerfest Appearance Cancelled

It is with great regret that Paolo's recording commitments have unfortunately forced the cancellation of his scheduled appearance at Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Apologies to all those fans who were looking forward to the show but Paolo's main priority right now is finishing his album and making sure his fans get the record they deserve.

We're pretty sure you won't be disappointed with the results and Paolo will see you all when he sets out on the road again in the very near future.

Paolo needs a vacation...may i suggest he brings himself and a guitar to TELLURIDE!
No tour bus needed ...K@ can pick him up at the airport...and he can hot spring and stay with us in the mountain yurt!

Just a friendly suggestion...

Oh...I forgot...he should bring Teri too!

Well, now that it's official, I cancelled my plans. It is just too far to go, and I need to save my vacation days for when he DOES finally come. I was hoping to meet some of you there, but there's still Vegas!

My common sense tells me that Telluride will be canceled. SUCKS... but the boy has got to do what he has got to do.... QUILTERS AND THOSE STILL OUTSTANDING.... I left a message on the quilt thread....

Boo!I'm sad he keeps canceling things...And I'm antsy for a new album!!!

I can understand that "his main priority right now is finishing his album". Please tell me, though, why he can make an appearance at Telluride....which is BEFORE Summerfest. If he can't appear at Summerfest because he's still working on the album, wouldn't he be working on it a week before too? How can he make it to Colorado? Did no one think we'd notice the timing? Is he just cancelling some shows and keeping others that he thinks might be more fun and using the "main priority" thing as an excuse? This is just bad p.r. if you ask me.

Guess I'm just in a bad mood today...and I still have two Dave Matthews tickets that I paid $170 for that I don't plan on using. It's just....the more I think about this, the more it makes no sense to me.

I don't know Michelle. I don't know what to tell you. I know you are thinking "NOT AGAIN!!!"

I still think you ought to try to get your money back from ticketmaster because the show you paid for is not the one you are getting. If that doesn't work, try to find someone to sell them too. Search for a DMB board.

Perhaps it has something to do with juggling the schedule for the recording studio with other artists. That's really my only guess. I have a suggestion though. I'll message you on myspace.

I totally hear ya Michelle --- it's so mind-boggling! Sorry about your Dave Matthews tix, it sucks when shows get cancelled, sure does.

Unfortunately, or should I say fortunately, I can't make it to any of the sched gigs. And if they tour this fall, I don't know what I'm gonna do - I'd probably juz cry ;(

I haven't posted on this board for awhile and just decided to check in...I am so sad that Paolo canceled his Summerfest appearance. I was so looking forward to seeing him there.

Michelle - I agree; it doesn't make a lot of sense that he cancels this show and keeps his commitment to the Telluride Festival, when they are only a week apart. Who knows, maybe he couldn't get out of doing the Telluride show, but had more flexibility with getting out of doing Summerfest and that is why is is doing one show but not the other. Maybe it has to do with revenue the band would have generated to do the Summerfest show and that is why they chose not to do it. People only would have had to purchase a $15.00 general admission tickets to see Paolo at Summerfest. Whereas, if my memory serves me correctly, I think Kat or Kimpy said that the Telluride tickets were a lot more expensive. Maybe financially it just wasn't worth the trip. Either way, it is a huge bummer. I just hope Paolo and the boys tour again in the fall after their new record is released. Let's keep our fingers crossed...

Michelle, I don't blame you for being annoyed and/or angry,.... I sure would be...... I'm actually surprised that he kept the Telluride show..........

I agree with Bib and think that you should be able to get a refund because it isn't the show that you paid for...... It's worth a shot anyway.... For that much money...... ridiculous.... heck I'm going to the Mile High Fest for the cost of the DMB show and DMB will be there along with,.... a line up of so many that I want to see/see again....I'm not a big festival person.....

I'm sorry and to be quite honest,... I feel quite guilty that he didn't cancel ours as well..... As I've mentioned.... I've decided not to drag the quilt down there, just in case,..... he ends up canceling it.... Not only that, I would rather give him the quilt with my fellow quilters around me as well.....

DenverKat, how would it be just to take the scrapbook to Telluride, if it was done , that is. And if Paolo is there, you would have a memorable moment.

Well, the scrapbook would be a spoiler if I gave it to him them,..... because it would have pictures of the squares..... If you knew kimpy and I, you would know we will still make our way to see and talk to him,...... K@

P.S.... and I'm going to work on setting this up for Vegas.... We'll see if I can get something organized...
