Actually, I was. If I haven't already been left out of it, that is. And it looks like I have.
Wow. That happened fast.
Ah, well. Enjoy the show.

No, you haven't... since you answered first, You take them....

they haven't sold out online as of yet. It was just that I couldn't purchase mine until my next pay.... (in 2 weeks), and I was afraid that they may be sold out by then. I don't believe that there are any assigned seating.

You go ahead and take Cyndi's and I'll chance it. I'm going with or without a ticket...

I have a Boardie Quilt to deliver even if I don't see the show.....

Hey, guys, I purchased our tickets before I knew that we were going to stay at the Hard Rock. I talked to someone there this morning and was told that we may not need a ticket for his show (supposedly they give a wristband to the guests). I have to call back later today to confirm that with the box office manager though.

So, I may end up with three extra tickets that someone can have. If that is the case, I'll post this afternoon. I don't need to sell them...I just don't want them to go to waste.

Kat, I only need one ticket. The other's still up for grabs. And if your friend is that eager to see the show, you two can take them both. The last thing I want to do is get involved in a bidding war, or cause any hard feelings.
There's always another show.

I'm officially annoyed with the Hard Rock Hotel...I spoke with someone this morning who told me that as guests of the hotel we'd be given a wristband in the morning that allowed us into the pool area and that she thought the same wristband would get us into the show. But, she said I needed to call back and confirm that with the box office manager because sometimes it depended on the artist.

When I called back and talked to the box office manager she tells me that I DO have to buy tickets even if we are staying there but that I can't buy tickets for the poolside shows in advance. And that since they are only sold the day of the show sometimes they let the hotel guests in without a ticket depending on how big/small the crowd is. When I try to explain that I already have tickets she tells me that can't be because they don't sell Friday Night Live poolside tickets in advance. WTF?!?

And, for the record, third DIFFERENT answer I've gotten. When I made our reservations I was told without hesitation that our reservation came with access to the pool and the poolside shows, not ticket required. ARGHHH, how can there be that many Hard Rock employees who have that little knowledge of the hotel's policies?

Okay, rant over. Sorry, didn't mean to thread jack. Razzer

Probably. I've been trying to reserve a cabanna for a month too and have gotten a similar run around. I can't get a live person any where but the front desk to save my life...

1. Yes, you are gettin' a screwin'.

2. I'd call back and demand to speak to the manager of the hotel, not the front desk manager, not restaurant manager, not an associate manager, not a night manager, THE MANAGER who is in charge of EVERYTHING, the one who would come running out of his/her office as soon as you slip, injure your head on the floor, and yell lawsuit - THAT manager.

3. It's 'whom' - let me know if you want the reason why. Wink

P.S. The genuis you spoke with at the box office doesn't even know that you can buy tickets for the Friday Night Poolside show from the Hard Rock Hotel website??? Ask THE manager about this too. Here's the link: http://www.hardrockhotel.com/las-vegas/concerts/

I don't know if this is where you got your tickets or from ticketmaster. OK, it links you to ticketmaster, but you can buy ticket for the Friday Night Poolside show on July 5th right now if you wanted to. I just got as far as the captcha thingy. If they weren't on sale yet, it would say when they WILL go on sale. Roll Eyes

If all this fails, call and demand answers from as many of these people as possible. (Trevor, Oliver, Sean and Hamish are probably your best bets and in that order. You probably won't get to talk to them directly, but leave messages, UPSET AND "ANGRY WITH THE COMPANY" type messages. You never know, one of them might actually return your call if you are irrate enough. You'd be surprised.)

If ALL of you ban together and call and email to complain that the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas can't get their act together for this event they won't be very happy. You all are spending a lot of extra money to come and stay in their hotel specificlyfor this event - and in an increasingly worsening economy in which a lot of people are choosing to stay home altogether. Make it a point to tell them that! They won't like it if you leave this experience angry and upset.

Bib, have we hit a sore spot? Wink

Seriously, though, I can't speak for anyone else but you can rest assured that I will manage the situations I've encountered accordingly.

My concern isn't that the matter won't be resolved...it will be, and on my terms at that. I originally posted for no other reason than to vent my irritation with how inept the Hard Rock employees I've encountered thus far have been. I have very little tolerance for incompetence. Which is why I did not bother continuing the debate with the box office manager who clearly had no idea what she was talking about.

Personally, I don't believe that kicking up dust is the most effective way to get good customer service. But I NEVER settle for less than I expect or deserve either.

Well, I'm exactly like you. The nerve you touched was the "incompetence" nerve and I feel like it has spread like a disease in our society like wild fire in the last 20 years.

I get to the manager and get it resolved too. I wasn't sure who needed what help, if that makes sense. I know some people may not be as good as you or I am at getting things resolved and sometimes it really IS necessary to call corporate. I was leaving that as a last resort. Seriously, if the manager cannot resolve your problem, and puts you off, corproate needs to know.

I would definately tell the manager about this "the tickets aren't on sale" nonsense, because I predict that he'll say he doesn't know about that and tell you you need to talk to the box office manager for that information. If the box office manager doesn't know that the tickets are on sale prior to the event, there is a manager above her who DOES.

Are you sure she said that the tickets don't go on sale until that day? Could she have meant that the BOX OFFICE doesn't sell them until that day?

Believe me when you do what you do to get it resolved on your terms, you are kicking up your own bit of dust. Wink

Rock on Ladies.....

I worked in the Food and Bev Business for 25 FREAK'N years..........

If you don't complain.... ask to speak to someone higher up,... you'll get passed over very easily... Not necessarily because they are indifferent to you or your situation... what it boils down to in these places... they are over whelmed and under trained..... Management in a Vegas hotel should have ALL THE FREAK'N answers.... Bib is beyond right on this... ....

later ladies....
