Let me explain the heat of Vegas in August. It's like stepping into your oven after you cooked a turkey! (but it's a dry heat) lol
Wear as little as you can!

But make sure you drink plenty of water. The dry heat tricks people into believing it's not as hot as it really is and people new to it often don't keep themselves hydrated and end up ill.

Thanks for the advice ladies. I will try to drink water but do not want to give up a good spot!!!!???? Just kiddin' -I will try. But the "wear as little as you can"-I don't want to scare Paolo and the boys!!!! LOL!!!

No worry Crush...I think we will be sweatin' together and looking like we are ready to enter a wet t-shirt contest! At least the sun will have set but I'm sure radiation from body heat on and off the stage will make up for the lack of sun heat.

I plan to smuggle in some Gatorade!
Also - if it's that hot - alcohol is not a great idea. Saw many a young lady being carried off by paramedics at V-Fest in Baltimore last year...100 degrees there...and NOT the DRY HEAT!

Betsy's right. Alcohol does NOT keep you hydrated. You really have to keep hydrated with water or sports drinks. I prefer water.

We have the sticky humid sort of heat here in Chicago too and one girl, who I think staked out her spot at about 10 that morning at Paolo's stage got so sick from the heat that she threw up and was taken away to the paramedics tent. The state she was in I doubt very much that after all her effort and vigilence, she got to see Paolo at all. It happened about 20 minutes before Paolo was due to take the stage at 3pm.

At least if you lose your spot, you'll be well enough to try to get it back or stand in the back and listen. Or you can stand Next to Betsy, who I hear has super powers and can expand at will to save your place.
