Hey Norma! I've been busy so I just saw your post. I'm not sure if PNut has a separate show in Chicago this summer but he did last year. ANd I went to see him for that. I did not attend Lollapalooza because I was on a family vacation. I WILL not miss it this year though....I would love to meet you. Let's go!

I will come for a gig but obviously I can't ditch the wedding. How are you fairing in all this bitter cold-any sunny vacations planned?

**sigh*** nothing planned yet. But I know Laura was or is still in Nevada though...I'm jealous. All this freezing temperature has brought me is illnesses and ill kids..... gosh, I'm so over this! Is is spring yet? Is Paolo here yet?? **looking around**

No idea. Having as many of us boardies meet up in Scotland, ideally for a Paolo gig, is just an idea that's been floating around for awhile. If it does come off, they ought to call it the Paisley Pilgrimage, as you know they'll all end up there at some point during the boardie reunion/festival/hoopla/whatever.

I just read that Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglová (from the movie Once) will be at the Telluride Festival also. I was so glad when they won Best Song at the Grammies. I love the movie and soundtrack.

They are a must see for those lucky enough to be going to Colorado. Enjoy!

Ok....here's my idea of kick-adz Telluride bluegrass set....open with Bang,Bang.....grasssmoked regulars will then sit up and take notice....Paolo goes acoustic while Donnie casually cleans fingernails and cooly glances around at crowd trying to pickout younger forum members that are drooling over him....Mick rocks back on sneakered heels,admiring the scenery and thinks about filling his pac-man lunch pail with catered goodies backstage....Jim ...being Jim fiddles with his drumset to make sure everything sounds perfect for the rest of the set....Paolo introduces himself and mumbles something about no one being able to understand him...so he'll just sing....HA!

Paolo sings folksy versions of I Wonder and Calidonia.....smoke induced crowd smiles and nods off...
Paolo takes revenge...A rousing version of Funky Cigarette sends the crowd into 60's funky chicken dance mode....and to finish off ...the boys light-up the rest of the crowd with a rowdy version of Rainbows....who sez bluegrass has to be laidback.....
and for an encore....a twangy country version of Jenny Don't be Hasty...I know you can do it Paolo...enuf said!
