Paula,

I loved your review! Thanks for sharing it. I agree with you on Down In Mexico being one of the best of Paolo's covers, I bet you will regret this move from the barrier for awhile yet. I know I would. Big Grin

Thanks for posting Jelly. Paolo does appear similar to Johnny Depp here... Not a bad thing, though... Cool I'm a Johnny Depp fan, love his acting, and he's very nice to look at as a bonus! Wink I've been partial to seeing Paolo in a vest since T in the Park this past summer. I was really impressed by his look there. I'm liking the new clothing choices he's making, too. Nice to have a little more variety. But, no matter what he decides to wear this next tour, I'll be okay with it, I'm just always happy to see him! Smiler

Oh, and I love Benny and Joon, too. Smiler

He could show up in sackcloth and ashes and make it look good.
My writing partner is an avid Johnny Depp Fan, so I would have been remiss not to have put that together. LOL!

30 December 2008

So after a long drive south in sub-zero temperatures we finally arrived in Glasgow. En route to the city-centre we swung by Celtic Park to check out the recently-unveiled statue commemorating Jinky Johnstone:

After checking into our hotel (Campanile) we went for a walk by the Clyde. Here's Son of Schneckie on the Squinty Bridge with Clydeport, the Armadillo and a big wheel in the background:

Clyde reflections:

I am vaguely obsessed with the Clyde Auditorium (Armadillo). Love it. Reminds me of pac-man here:

Geezo, how beautiful is this city? Clydeport and the Clyde Arc/Squinty Bridge:

Seriously, did a modern office-building ever look so good??

Hogmanay pics to follow...

Wow, those are great pictures, Schneckie. It does look like a beautiful city and the Clyde Auditorium is such an interesting building. By the way, Son of Schneckie looks quite tall.

Wow, Shneckie, those are lovely. Do you do photography for a living? If not, you should. You've got the eye for it.

A shade under 6' 2" Michelle - so yeah, pretty tall. (Most modern kids seem to be bloody giants, don't they??)

Jelly I'm not a photographer and know next to nothing about photography, but I do like taking photos Big Grin

No, I've never been in it either - but have walked past it to Hall 4! I just love the building though. I always get a kick out of seeing it, if only from the M8 when driving by! Glad you liked the pics Smiler
