Thanks Ana for the good news! Great story. Cool I can't wait to hear Paolo's version of Gimme Shelter!!! Great cause. Love it when Paolo gets involved in helping others. Big Grin

Gimme Shelter
(M. Jagger/K. Richards)

Oh, a storm is threat'ning
My very life today
If I don't get some shelter
Oh yeah, I'm gonna fade away

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Ooh, see the fire is sweepin'
Our very street today
Burns like a red coal carpet
Mad bull lost its way

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

Rape, murder!
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away

The floods is threat'ning
My very life today
Gimme, gimme shelter
Or I'm gonna fade away

War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
I tell you love, sister, it's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
It's just a kiss away
Kiss away, kiss away

...our bodies get bigger but our hearts get torn up...

...We’re just a million little god’s causin' rain storms turnin’ every good thing to rust...

Me neither. What a great honour for Paolo to be asked to do this.

(I'm sure the documentary will have me greetin' even before the credits start to roll...)

OneWorld, it is nice to 'see' you again. I enjoyed your posts, when you were a more regular poster Smiler

I bet he loved it and wanted to go on again 'n' again 'n' again... Big Grin

A couple of years ago my then 6ft son went on the helter-skelter in Princes Street Gardens. He came down so fast the sleeve of his new Adidas jacket partially melted (!) It looked like a snail had crawled up his arm (or he'd been caught short without a hankie Eeker )

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW What a Ride!

It is an interesting article, thanks Ana. Just wanted to ask if anyone noticed the following sentence:

Paolo - who releases his new album in February - has fond memories of New Year family get togethers in his Paisley home.

Is it February now? Confused

Thank you, Schneckie, I've been enjoying your posts, as well. Smiler

Yes, it definitely is an honor for Paolo to be involved in a project like this. His voice has the ability to stir such deep emotion, and that's just what's needed here. Cool
