I heard Paolo in an interview saying that he wrote a space song. He used the opportunity to pitch it to well known, and massively wealthy, space enthusiast Richard Branson. Branson is involved in some kind of space travel venture...
outer space-->??? The great sense of passing through... |

The said interview is at axs.muchmusic.com
Here: http://axs.muchmusic.com/ It is a three-part interview, and he talks about the song in the third part. He says it is called "Outerspace." And he wrote it when he was a little guy with his drummer, Jim. He makes a statement to Richard Branson " ...got a tune for the campaign..." Says he'd be interested in going to outerspace. I love this interview, one of my favorites! Paolo speaks openly and seems to be in a good mood. The great sense of passing through... |

Need to put "Paolo Nutini" in the search field to find the interview. Scroll down after the search command to find the third part.

Is this REALLY a cover? I mean has anyone actually sung this before, or did Paolo write the music to the poem? Don't forget "Comin' Home" --> Paolo What about that one he covered on the radio in Denver was it? And I thought Paolo wrote Funky Cigarette. I must have missed something there. If he didn't who did? "Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup." |

Yes, A Man's a Man has been sung before by many. Are you thinking of "I Wonder"? Yes, "Funky Cigarette" was written by Paolo. |

I'm pretty sure these are all Paolo. |

Here's a video with lyrics. It also says "The song, 'Is There for Honest Poverty', is better known as 'A Man's a Man for A' That'. It was sung at the state opening of the new Scottish Parliament." I've also seen other versions on YouTube. |
