Paolo Nutini quits US tour to concentrate on album
May 16 2008 Beverley Lyons And Laura Sutherland

POOR Paolo Nutini is working so hard on his second album, he has had to pull out of his US tour alongside Dave Matthews.

The Paisley singer was due to set off around America with the Grammy award winner next month but had to cancel due to recording commitments.

His blog said: "It is with massive regret we've had to pull out of the Dave Matthews tour next month.

"Making the record is the number one priority, so we don't have the time for a month on the road."

Paolo was going to be coming to my piece of the earth in June, but I wasn't going to be able to go see him, unfortunately... Frowner I feel for everyone that had planned on it. I wasn't too keen on seeing a whole show of Dave Matthew's, the only song of his that I can really get into is "Gravedigger..." Some of his other works are okay, too. My husband seems to appreciate DMB, however, and he would have liked them and Paolo, too. Hope Paolo doesn't end up having to cancel more shows in America...But he's gotta do what's best for him... I, for one, would wait for him Smiler Serve no good wine before it's time!

Perhaps I mispoke somewhat...For Paolo is not to be likened merely to a good wine, but more appropriately to a fine wine... And in the world of wines, we all know with age comes brilliance...

Me thinks I've been cooped up a little too long... Eeker Red Face Big Grin

One, How far is Milwaukee from you??? He's going to be at Summerfest on June 26th Hopefully. I live in Indiana and I'm taking a roadtrip. You should come, too.

Hi Laura,

I really wish I could go, but won't be able to see Mr. Nutini at all, live and in person, this year... I believe it would be about a 6-7 hr drive to Milwaukee from here. Don't know what it would be if vehicle were ferried across Lake Michigaan, if they still do that...? But regardless, not in the cards for me... Hope you don't have to miss him if he should cancel...
I'm sure you don't want to think about that possibility!

Just patiently waiting for Paolo's anticipated album, for now; and watching for any news of him.

One,
I'm sad for you. If you change your mind, just drive as far as Indiana and you can come with us for the other 3-4 hours to Milwaukee.

Laura,

That's so sweet of you to offer, but I've got some health situations going on now, and like to stick close to home as much as possible. I hope your concerts aren't cancelled. Really worried about what's going on with our Mr. Nutini?

I'm looking forward to hearing everyon's review of their experiences. And any new pics or videos. Big Grin

I have cousins that are living in Decatur, IN.
Is that anywhere near you?
