Ok, Well, while we're waiting on the new Paolo stuff............ of course we listen to other stuff too.

It tends to come up in our threads so I thought that I would start a thread on other artist's and interests that we have....


I'm going to start. Tonight on PBS, (one of my all time favorite channels), there is a show on. I don't have cable or good reception. If anyone runs across this, (similar to the ACL paolo performance), could you rip it for me or convert and post. I would truly appreciate it.

I know some of ya'll have brought him up on the forum before but I just got his cd on Monday and I love him he is Ahh-mazing! Love his music and I love his red dreads haha... My favorite song right now is All I Got

anyways this part sort of relates to Paolo... Newton supported Paolo in April in the UK and from this video it seems like Mr. Faulkner was influenced by our boy Paolo but it says its from 2004 so obviuosly not... I just think it is a weird coincidence unless this song is covered a lot in the UK cause Paolo was the first person I have ever heard cover it... anyways Im babbling

I was under the impression that Newton sort of inspired Paolo to start playing the Jungle Book song. Doesn't Newton sometimes sing the Spongebob theme too?

Newton Faulkner is amazing!!His lyrics make me want to cry, they are so beautiful I just got tickets for his uk tour next year and i can't wait.
I'm not sure about his influence on Paolo, only that he supported him for a few gigs.

Yeah I think you are right Michelle I think I was just thinking that because he opened for paolo but he has been doing festivals just as long from if not longer from what I have seen... and I saw a clip on you tube where they sang the jungle book song together with Ruarri Joseph at a festival... So he probably was paolo's inspiration! My bad

I'm hoping that it will be posted online. It's the chicago concert that I want. On PBS they are offering it if you donate $150...Yeah...lol

I belong to a newsgroup, (like that nzb site that was posted last week with the ACL posting). I just figured it out and hotdog... I'm snagging all kinds of stuff so I hope it'll show up on there. It's suppose to be back on, on Saturday. I'm going to post a request in hopes that someone will have and post it!!! It's awesome.

Badonk... Lucky you!!! I'm trying to figure out a way to get to New York toward the end of January!!! I was assured by his person running his Myspace page that this dip into the U.S. in January is just the beginning. They assured me that he WILL be back.

Yes, he does the Spongebob thing. I saw a thing on Virgin Radio where he was talking about being branded with that...lol I don't think that Paolo was inspired by him at all as you're right,... Newton opened for Paolo several times....but who knows...right??

Yeah, but I didn't get it from there.... Go.. don't run to Battyanne's multiply site. You'll find it there. It may already be done with. If it is, just send me your address and I'll mail you a copy. It turned out great. It's in HD so it looks good.
