I'm going to go see Jamie Lidell at the Bluebird Theater on June 2. Another show to see and look forward too. I have to tell you I love working for AEGLive. All I do is spend about 3-4 hours a week hanging posters and FREE SHOWS.

Ok, Thursday night, the 29th of May, I saw The Kooks at the Ogden.... Same place that Paolo taped his MSN/control room show..... OMG,.... they were FANTASTIC!!!

If you have an opportunity to see The Kooks,.... YOU MUST GO.... Don't even think about it..... GO GO GO GO GO!!!

It was packed but one of the best shows that I've seen this year and most of you know that I hit about 5 or 6 shows a month....

I'm seeing Newton Faulkner tonight up in Boulder at the Fox theater... (Saw BDS there for the first time).

Seeing that Jamie Lidel show on Tuesday...

Seeing Dave Barneson the 16th of this month...

Would like to see REM on Wednesday... don't know if I can get the tickets yet or not... more than likely though....

GOD I love this job at AEG!!!!

Oh Kathy, that sounds fantastic...I love the Kooks... Razzer

I am just arrived back home from Como/Italy where I went to see WILL HOGE
He might be known to our US board members,it was his first ever tour in Europe, playing small club gigs, solo acoustic.
And it was pure madness rushing down south after a hard day at work on Friday arriving in Italy just in time to drop my bag at the hotel and get a taxi to the village where the gig was....but fortunenately I am totally mad LOL Big Grin cause it was worth all the travelling !!!
WHAT AN ARTIST !!!!! He blew me away,as expected..... Cool

Well, as you all know.... I LOVE Newton,... as much as Paolo!!!

He blew me away again... took a friend and she fell in love with him too!

While I got the use of a computer, I'm going to upload video and pictures to my multiply account,.... so check back later today, tonight or tomorrow... I actually got video of him doing that little bit singing like Paolo... Fabulous!!!

Don't know why but I turned into a 12 year old school girl when I went to meet him again... Had him sign the actual CD and not the EP took a picture with him and my friend did too....... He was so sweet to me....Don't know why but he makes me giddy!!!! LOVE NEWTON!!

PS: His opener Griffin House was great too. Some people came all the way from Chicago to see him,... Griffin... he was cute and funny just like newton... I got a couple of vid's with him too...

Chris... loved your review to Mr. Hoge's show.... Isn't it great when they not only give you a great show, but turn out to be so sweet and accommodating for conversation.....

I felt like I was 12 again with Newton the other night.... Talked up like a storm to the merchandising girls... then they actually had to cue me on my conversation.... because I couldn't remember what I wanted to say or ask... I actually had questions and the TIME to ask ..... but couldn't.... I forgot like a silly moronic school girl.

Anyway, I did, (thanks to my daughter), get most all of my footage of Newton up on my multiply site. I made it for everyone, so if you don't have multiply, you can still see it.... I have to say it is some of the best concert footage I have ever taken...

She's going to upload tonight the last video,.... this is where he sings in The Kings of Leon style and Paolo Nutini's style... it's great... so keep an eye out... let me know if I'm talking out my butt saying that I took good footage of a show......

Later... got to go home!!!! really I do....

I've been reading through this topic and you all have great taste in music Big Grin (not that that's a surprise Wink)

Has anyone heard of Freerun?
They're one of my favourite myspace-discoveries (well they found me, which i'm so happy about). It was love at first sight and all that stuff.
Absolutely great music, they have variety in their songs, and i love all of them. The members all play instruments and sing, and they're nice boys too Big Grin

If anyone is interested in checking them out, you can find them here:

Hope you like them Smiler
