This may have been done before, but I'm new and you're all soooo nice so you'll forgive me I'm sure.
I would like to know if anyone else has realised they were singing the completely wrong lyrics to a Paolo song before they bought the album to listen on headphones carefully, or googled the proper lyrics? Example.......*blush* Jenny - tell me who makes these rules, who's putting sin on you....... Million faces - we're distracted by the harsh lights White Lies (to be fair I didn't look at the song titles when I first heard the album) - I've lost my disguise, but its all right now..... Ok, everyone please fess up to your Paolo faux pas and don't leave me horribly, embarrassingly alone in this post...... |

Hmmm....I don't think I've been singing the wrong lyrics (or maybe I have because I've never really read the lyrics...lol), but I do find myself singing with a Scottish accent all the time.

Neeky, I have made a few fumbles on Funky Cigarette because Paolo talks/sings so fast on that song. Like:

Neeky I have never figured out some lyrics still on his faster songs like funky cigarette and even rainbows. I do always sing with a scottish accent like Michelle said-how can you not. The problem is it is sneaking into my everyday conversation and m kids think I have lost my mind!  |

Maybe because I've been living in Yorkshire and hanging out with Geordie friends, both of which have a bit of twang and dialect, but I don't notice any scottish in his performing?
Although, I haven't seen him live, only YouTube performances and the CD. Paolocrush - Your kids will start saying things like "och nay" to their friends at school and chomping down on home-fried mars bars washed down with irn-bru. Speaking of stereotypes, I must go ride my Kangaroo to the shops to buy some more vegemite to put on the barbie..... |

Hahaha...this made me smile... Reminds at this situation when I came back from a week in Scotland and the next day I had been asked about the way to the station by a japanese men here in Zurich...in English of course...and i answered him and explained the way...and the poor man was looking at me like an alien and was like "Huh??? What are you talking about..." You are sooo funny! When I say Scottish accent I am singing to live versions of the songs from the U.K. Festival edition or downloads of live songs. His accent is not very apparent on the regular cd-you are right. My singin is terrible-my kids say- but I don't care-I do it anyway!!!I love the accent because it reminds me of my grandparents and my cousins! So I sing it loud and proud!! |
