Yeah but I rekon liner notes are dodgy sometimes. I've read liner lyrics before and the artist sings something obviously completely different. Or they leave out whole verses.

I have for sure heard decide me and seen it on video or in person-can't remeber now.

Decide me/beside me version is the bonus track (non-strings)version at the end of the CD These Streets...is it only on US release?

He says "decide" in the video made at Bush Studios but I know I have seen him (in a video) where he says "beside".

Now, we all know Paolo gets confused sometimes, even with his own lyrics, (which, btw, is one of the things that endears me to him).

So...who knows for sure? Hell, I think he uses them both! Just whichever one comes out of his mouth first!!

About "Mellow Down Easy" the first time I heard it on the radio I though it was "Mellow On knees" and there is this part where he's saying something like : "you really want to applaud your toes" (you know at about 0:41) I doubt these are the right lyrics but makes me laugh anyway Big Grin

Shame on me... I thought this song was Paolo's ! (maybe he would be proud to know that I thought it was his...)
and about the lyrics : "You mellow down easy when you really wanna blow your top" which is quite far from the "toes'story"
