STEWART PRAISES NUTINI
British rock veteran ROD STEWART has praised Scottish singer PAOLO NUTINI, insisting the star will have a long career in the music industry. The Maggie May singer says he is a fan of the 19-year-old's music and has the talent to make his career span decades. He says, "He's got a great career ahead of him. I really mean that, a great career. I've been around the block a few times to know what it takes to still be able to pull in a crowd. "I'm not really into bands and tend to listen to singers. My publicist was the one who told me about Paolo. "I was saying how much I like James Morrison and she said 'You should hear this kid Paolo', That same day I think I heard New Shoes on the radio."

He goes on on another article

Paolo can Be Bigger Star....

quote:
Rod's comments are in a BBC documentary, Paolo Nutini Takes On America, which charts Paolo's attempt to make a name for himself in America playing 26 sell-out concerts in New York, Philadelphia, Boston and Los Angeles.

But he said touring in the United States stopped him from writing new material to follow up the remarkable success of his debut album.

He said: "I have lost a bit of inspiration because I am so tired."

n Paolo Nutini Takes On America, BBC2, June 7, 10pm.

I SOOOOOO want to see that!

I agree he could be a huge star. He's only 20, and he is fast learning his lessons now. Think of it, he'll be 24 in four years, and they'll still be talking about how young he is.

So that will only be available in the UK? If so if it's not too much trouble or long could someone put it on the net? I'd love to see this!

Speaking of Rod Steward:

My mum is going to his gig this fall and somehow she managed to get these great seats that are normally only for VIPs, so there is that chance that she is going to meet Mr. Steward.
I am totally gonna make her ask him what he thinks of Paolo, heeeheee Big Grin

if I knew all the words, I would write myself out of here, if I was all the colors, I would paint you pretty in gold in a picture

why can't we just rewind?
