OK, we're off topic here. Shame on you all!

Actual possible titles for the new album:

More Streets
Too Many Streets
Which Street Is This?

Big Grin

******
You could tie this all together and the new CD title could be "Pink Thong", could work, maybe it could be worn on the cover?!?!

By whom? Wink

I think the new album title should be ecclectic, artsy, and just one word:

(wait for it...wait for it...)

"G7"

In Memory of G7
Remembering G7

"More Streets" - dedicated to the memory of our good friend G7

He'll probably get away from the whole "Street" theme and call it "Red Cups and Crazy Fans"

It's in reference to a blog that Paolo posted in January. You can also check out some of the G7 discussion here.

THE LOSS OF THE G7 CHORD!

Temporary setback in the Paolo Nutini recording session as they discover that one of the chords to feature on the new album has been mislaid somewhere between Denver and New Orleans in America at the back end of 2007. Paolo and the band are understandably worried by the disappearance of one of their favourite G chords and are appealing for information regarding its whereabouts.

"The last information we have about G7 is that it was used to finish the gig in Denver last year but wasn't needed again till arriving in the studio last week" an embarrassed Malky (guitar technician) told us today.

The disappearance was only discovered when guitarist Donny Little was jamming with a blues progression and fell off his stool due to a gaping hole in the music.

The big worry is that G7 decided to leave due to feelings of neglect, feeling undervalued in the shadow of more popular chords like C and E. He often spoke of a lifelong ambition to visit Nashville and that there should be plenty of opportunities there for a young ambitious chord like him. This might be some clue as to where he is and where the search should begin.

Both C and E minor are visibly diminished and unable to complete a cadence in his absence.

Paolo and the band would like to make an appeal to G7 to just give them a call and to let him know that "... nobody is angry with you. We just want to know that you're OK. D and your flat mate F sharp are missing you."

Anyone with information - however small - should get in touch via www.paolonutini.com or www.myspace.com/paolonutini

Ever notice there was never a blog saying they had found it again? Hmmmmm. . . . me thinks this album is going to sound a tad weird. :/

Michelle, Thanks for reminding me...I'd totally forgotton that little story Smiler I was clueless...

I hope G7 didn't make its way to Nashville...I think it would be a pretty hard sell to convince it to come home again...
but what am I talking about, it really couldn't turn its back on Paolo and the guys now, could it? Especially when they assure it just how much it was really, really missed and valued Big Grin.

Oh, please don't suggest that the new album might sound weird... Eeker I'm so desperately waiting for more new Paolo music...hope it's great!

Perhaps they left a candle burning in the window and a pint on the table for it each night hoping it would return of its own accord. Wink

Paolo just read this and said, "BLOODY *@&&^#&^$@&! Now I have to come up with a new name for the album!"
