Okay, I'm under the impression that you get the "two cd" offer for EACH cd you ordered that was cancelled. I ordered four cd's and three of the shows are not being recorded now. I would think I'd get the offer three times over for each show that is not now being recorded. I haven't confirmed this yet, but I'm going to email them and check.

Their email doesn't say anything about the offer counting for each cd purchased. If so then you and I should get all 6 shows. Now THAT would be compensation.

They need to explain this better in the email. It just says "we are no longer able to record the Paolo Nutini date you purchased." - DATE that's one date. They didn't say anything about multiple dates I purchased.

Plus, if this is our compensation for EACH cd that was cancelled, then we should get 3 different codes for 25% off that can be used at any time - no expiration date.

I still think they never thought people would order more than one cd, maybe two at the most, and they don't realize that people bought 3 or 4 and they're not really being compensated.

OK and while we're on the subject, could someone please tell me (or remind me) if the Pencil Full of Lead single that was included in the live cd package was something that they were going to send me, or just the download from the email.

OK. So if I understand this right, since I ordered 2 CDs from Sheffield and now it's cancelled, I should be able to get a total of 4 different CDs all from different venues.
I think I'll get two from Glasgow. Is there anyone here who can recommend which other shows are "must haves"? Any night that was exceptionally good? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks...

I have no idea what the offer is anymore. I'm confused and wish all this curfuffle wasn't happening. :/

I was told recordings had been cancelled due to poor sales, no other gigs since they said that are to be recorded apart from Glasgow, and I can imagine as that's a home gig there was plenty of demand for it.

The email is obviously a generic one regardless of how many cd's you ordered, so I'd expect we are all entitled to 2 CD's of our choice for every ordered recording now cancelled. Of course a full refund should also be available as the item you purchased is no longer available.

I can say that both the Blackpool gig (the first one of the tour) and London are great CD's and both different sets. One starts with Alloway Grove, one with High Hopes, London has new covers Alone Agian Or and Such a Night too. Yummy Mummy got London at Portsmouth, whereas I declined to take it on the night.

And PFOL single should be sent out, not just a download.

Between them we'll have them all, so you won't miss out on any gigs I promise!

I agree with BIB, I'm not happy with this mob at all, and won't be giving them any more cash till they straighten this out successfully for all.

Have them all between us? Pft! If it is as you say (1 alternative and 1 free cd for each originally ordered) and there are 6 shows left ont he list, I should be entitled to ALL of them. Smiler

Yeah, the best way I can think of to deal with this sort of offer in the future is to order only one and see what happens. The problem is, I was also under the impression that you had to pre-order them to get them at all! Naturally, that's a good marketing ploy, but now I know that the cds can be purchased after the event. So next time it's one cd and that's it.

Jacq, are they telling people at the gigs that the cd they're getting ISN'T the one they just saw? I'm thinking of people who pre-ordered and wanted to pick it up at the gig.

Also, I think it's odd that the second Glasgow show was cancelled. I would have thought that both would generate enough sales - unless many people are going both nights.

Hey Bib,

Yeah ery shortly, you should be the owner of all 6 box sets Big Grin

They made it clear at Portsmouth from the start that the recording had been cancelled and that it was the Apollo gig for sale.

I think with regards to Glasgow, they cleverly decided to record the first night which will encourage everyone to buy it that night, and everyone else the 2nd night will hopefully happily buy the previous nights CD as it's for the same venue. Whereas if they waited till the 15th to record then the average punter on the 14th will not preorder a CD or buy in online at a later date.

They'll aim for same level of sales with only one nights recording costs!!

Clever me thinks.

I've got email confirming my refunds so fingers crossed I see it refuned quick smart!

Hi Elin,

You can now order 2 other CD's of the live recordings, so you can now pick any 2 from Glasgow 14th, Blackpool, Nottingham, London, Bournemouth and Birnmigham.

Happy Shopping!!

Yes, still don't know how I'm getting 25% off my next order 3 times though. *shrug*

I'm still with Dawnbrown though. Had I been going to the gig on the 15th I wouldn't really want the gig from the 14th - unless that's all that was available to begin with. Having it cancelled like that is a major let down. I'm glad she was able to get one from at least one gig she went to. I can't imagine there's anything that could make up for such disappointment if you only had the time and money to go to one gig. I'd be more than gutted if that happened to me.

Has anyone else noticed that picture of the little girl (not sure if I'm allowed to say her name here) is on the cd twice? It's also at 2-8-1, unless I'm imagining it. It's kinda hard to see some of the pictures with the bends and cruves of the cd case over them.

Yes, Bib, that is my granddaughter. I took the photo after the Philadelphia show when my granddaughter gave Paolo her light up tamborine. Big Grin
