Although not the most honest means of travel
It gets me there nonetheless

What are this means of travel... "not the most honest" ones ? Smiler
Any ideas?

I'm really not sure just what Paolo means here, but I've interpreted it as not the most "conventional" means of travel. A form of travel one would not expect. I believe he's just being poetic, romantic... Beautifully typical of him. Cool

Just my guess...

While so many were in Vegas, I wondered if anyone was able to approach Paolo, or one of the guys, and ask about some of the lyrics in the new songs that we've had questions about? Such as: give me some candy "after my heart" or "hug" in "Candy."

Was anyone able to clarify lyrics with Paolo or the guys? Not just on "Candy" but any of the other songs, too? It's hard waiting for the album to clear things up... Frowner Smiler

Just like someone mentioned a while back, the first time you meet Paolo, you are in such awe, that you can barely manage to get through it...I can't even recall what I said. So all of my questions and smart quips that I had rehearsed will have to wait for the next time. Smiler

sorry if it's a silly question but does candy have a double-meaning?

I have to say this, but the first time I heard it was online live from Telluride and I never had a second thought as to what he was talking about. I don't think he is singing about the kind of candy that has sugar in it, if you know what I mean!! LOL LOL LOL

What I get out of it when I hear him sing this is......

To him, what she has and what he wants her to give him... is .......

tantalizing as candy
decadent as candy
and yes...
sweet as candy.

My opinion, (and it's ONLY my opinion) is that it's not necessarily the ACT of making love but her.... that is the candy....

Now, I could be wrong... but I think I may be on to something here....lol

ahahaha...
I've been deciphering Jason Mraz's lyrics lately as well, look up some of his lyrics.... oh my....

Right on, Kat! This is exactly how I deciphered it. BTW, I love Jason Mraz.
