Well, of course, New Shoes was my first favorite, (mainly because it was the first that I heard),....

I went all over the place between the rest....

Million Faces, Loving you and White Lies... Well, those three are always duking it out....

There's something about Alloway Grove though.... that just makes me want to start singing....lolol

Already the new ones are doing the samething....

I'm all over the place with them.... so, t., did you bounce all over the place with these streets,... or was there one that you didn't care for at first then later,... much later learn to love it as much as the rest????

just curious....

Once I finally listened to it I actually liked all of These Streets except New Shoes. Alloway Grove, Million Faces, and Loving You were imediate favorites. Those three I thought were not just the best on his album but better than average when compared to any artist. Even now I like New Shoes more as one that has grown on me, not as one that I finally fell in love with.

To be honest, it wasn't until we saw him in Nashville that I was 100% sold on his talents. I listened to These Streets more as a result of having been given tickets to that show and really enjoyed the record. I thought it was better than a lot of the music being put out by his contemporaries. But, it was still a little too polished for my taste. I thought the songwriting as really good, and that his voice was exceptional...and that's what made me keep listening. But, to be honest, I very rarely listen the studio version of These Streets. I have my shuffle loaded up the live stuff.

I know a lot of people have been disappointed when they found his concerts were a far cry from the album. And that's okay, it really just boils down to a matter of taste and expectation. But, I was one of those people who saw him live and thought, "Thank God!".

Is it me or do most of his songs from Telluride have a country feel? Now, don't get me wrong, I love Paolo but I am not jumping up and down about this. I am going to keep listening and see what happens(because Paolo always grows on you Wink.)

I full heartedly agree. Although, I just knew in my heart that his live show was going to be exactly what I was expecting from him and it was. Most artist's their albums are so clean and tidy.... but his was SOOO much more cleaner than the live performance. I LOVE HIS live performancs.
