Woodstock,
That is hilarious!!Be careful if you meet him it gets worse.Trust me!Well you must feel better about yourself after coming on here.I know i do now.I seriously thought i had lost it!I didn't know what was wrong with me..I have never in all my life felt this way about anyone..let alone a 22 year old!!My husband has been amazing..but i think i have to start simmering down just a little..haha!!But i too feel the same way..about just wanting him to succeed in every possible way..I just can't say enough great things about him..And i CANNOT stop listening to him..And the more i watch and the more i listen the deeper the obsession gets..All my friends just laugh at me!! But he truly makes me smile and i wish him only the best!! And i hope you do get to meet him because he is the real thing!! Nice to hear from you!!SmilerSmiler

So, what's phase 2?I'm curious... I'd just love to meet him and tell him how much his music and voice reach me (and apparently others) deep down. And I pray the muse never leaves him so he can keep making great music! Love you, Paolo. Here's to your happiness!

Hi there Lynn. Well, I just read your comment after posting mine. We are definitely on the same wavelength in every way!! Very funny and reassuring. Smiler If I meet him I'll definitely let you know. I can tell he's a truly genuine guy and hope he stays that way. Thanks for your message. Ciao for now!

The thought of phase two makes me sad and a little frightened. What will I do with the spare time?

OK Theresa. I get it. All Paolo all the time forever would be a bit much, but I hope his music keeps coming and keeps making me feel good forever! Also I really want to meet him. He seems like the kind of guy you'd like to have as a best friend (I'm too much older to think of anything more than that, though it's certainly crossed my mind!) For now, still enjoying phase 1. Smiler

I think i will just enjoy my time in Phase 1 for awhile too!It sure is a "happy place"
And as long as Paolo keeps choosing to cover such brilliant songs.I feel it is possible to listen to him all the time until the next album is releasedSmiler

And the best bit is, it is not a downward slope Phase 1 can re-occur, everytime their is a new song, or gig! I'm loving Phase 1 at the moment (though Will And The People) have also sneaked onto my play list currently!!

What phase are you in when you wake up in the morning and you think to yourself - I wonder what Paolo is doing right now? - I think its because he is home, and has a wee bit of time off!!!

Exactly! Or you listen to Jenny and all the sudden you are back when you first heard him and Phase 1 starts all over again and your husband looks at you and says..."oh brother!" Big Grin

I think there must be somekind of Paolo gene that affects certain people this way. The first few months after I "Found" Paolo my family and friends thought I had lost my mind. Roll Eyes

That is exactly why i joined this forum! Because my family and friends do think i have lost my mind...But i knew someone out there would understand where i was coming from..And Thank God you do because i was beginning to question my own sanity!

Hi everyone. This is hilarious in that it really IS reassuring to know there's a real group of us. I have a feeling we're all somewhere between 35 and 50 years old? Well, I spend a lot of time (especially since discovering this forum) trying to figure out why he has this effect on me/us. I mean it's real LOVE. Don't you think to yourselves: damn I wish he were singing one of those songs to me. Or, "yeah Jenny you ARE crazy. How could you turn away anyone so genuine, sexy and adorable??" He must have some flaws we're not seeing. Smiler Well, he used to mumble when he talked so he was hard to understand and he'd perform totally wasted, but he seemed just very camera shy. In recent videos it looks like he's gotten over a lot of the shyness. (Speaking of being wasted a lot, isn't Coming Up Easy fantastic?)

Anyway, I have my own take on the phases: Phase 1 is falling in love with both the artist and his music (in whichever order...). Phase 2 is asking myself "why does he have this effect on me?" (No question it's a combo of his soulful voice, heartfelt lyrics and a natural gift for FEELING and creating music. And I'm sure there's more.) Then phase 3 is "why doesn't he have the same effect on everyone else?" How can you listen to him and not be completely swept away??? So, that's where I am now. I don't understand why most of my friends don't get it. They just shake their heads and laugh. So yes, it's great to have this secret little corner where I can sound like a high school teeny-bopper and know you guys understand. Thanks! Wink
