Adeline and I met Paolo and the band after yesterday's Lausanne gig. They all were really nice, took loads of time for signing stuff and taking pictures. Paolo even called Bella on my phone and they chatted for quite a while. Paolo also likes Jamie Cullum (young crazy Jazz musician, check him out on www.jamiecullum.com ), for the record: he prefers Pointless Nostalgic and Twentysomething to Catching Tales (Jamie's albums).
Paolo is a very nice chap, funny too, not arrogant or star struck at all. -Completely mad and dedicated.- |

first the musicians came and after Paolo at about midnight...
we were a few people (7 I think) and they were all so kind it was a pleasure to meet them...we were waited near the tou bus!! Paolo staid about 20 minutes, he was so nice but always "a little" drunk!! |

|
Oh and how very much I agree with him on that one! |

Hey!
Well I guess we must have bumped into each other because I also was there by the Tour Bus,.. :-) Me and my friend just happened to be walking there (going back to my car) and oh my god all of a sudden there was Donny signing autographs (yours probably,..) I actually get really lucky because I met Jamie Cullum after the Montreux Jazz Festival once and then also Amos Lee (who took a long stroll with us by the lake,..) But Paolo and Donny seemed really nice and easygoing, although Paolo did seem kind of tired and still a bit drunk,.. |

Met him too, but inside the club about half an hour after the show.
Would be nice to meet or discuss with some of you! This concert was a premiere for me, and I'm still thinking about it... |

I've met Amos Lee before. He seemed so shy. Sweet man, though... |

Me too But why do you think that Catching Tales sucks I love it Say whatever you want, I''ll never judge you. Be who ever you want me to be, oh you know I just dont care. Cuz I'm always were I need to be, and I always thought I would end up with you....eventually |

yea i figured, since you're signature is Jamie's song anyway ill always love the man who is Jamie Cullum, but his last record is just not my cup of tea. It has some nice songs, but not as brilliant as the ones on the earlier records. Catching tales just has too much poppy soundeffects for me. For me Jamie 'works' best with one ingredient: a piano I met him a few times after shows, he's unbelievably kind and polite and sweet yea... "Schots en Schattig" |

I understand what you mean by the poppy thing, cuz pointless nostalgic is so much more jazz and more piano. But what I loved about the Catching tales album is that theyre more songs on it that he writed himself.
I know he is, I'v heard And I still regret the fact I didn't waite for him after the show Say whatever you want, I''ll never judge you. Be who ever you want me to be, oh you know I just dont care. Cuz I'm always were I need to be, and I always thought I would end up with you....eventually |

Didn't like that last album either. Get My Way was funny.. and is also awesome live, cuz he gets to play around... but most songs failed to stick with me. There wasn't anything REALLY good on there, like Twentysomething on that second album, I loved that song! And with the way that man covers songs I'm perfectly fine with a little less original Jamie songs and a little more jazzy covers.
I still think it SUCKS that Jump For Joy never made the album. First time I heard that song I just had goosebumps all over, like everyone else in the room, it became totally and scarily quiet and the moment he touched the last key on his piano people just burst out cheering. It was one of the single most impressive moments I've ever seen! |
