I start my surgery rotations tomorrow. I have to get up at 5.30am and will be away from home until 7pm, then I have to find some dinner, cook it, take a shower.. by then it will be around 8.30pm and then I can start reading up on surgical stuff before going to bed and getting up around 6am the next day
 Anyone wanna trade? Cuz I'm just about dying for a good old day of normal school. (Never thought I would say THAT!) |

That was the idea once yeah.. becoming a doctor.. But I don't think I have the patience to do all the 10 to 12 years. I've been in uni for 4 years now and I'm only 21.. starting to get quite sick of it now

Without doctors the world would pretty much suck even more
I think it's a good profession and it's something I would want to do, but it's taking so long to get there and it's hard as well... I know they're only trying to get you ready for the huge responsibilities but I don't know if I want them already right now  |

my planned 3 years for a bachelor or 4 years for master will be enough for me. it must suck living as a poor student lol, i would want to finally make some money. yeah doctor, its a good job, unless your not working at a hospital cuz that must suck with the payment and the working hours and that stuff. well, i wouldnt do that + my nc dont allows me to study medicine anyway lol, nice if it works for you www.konzertmania.de <---pix of Paolo & more + NEW interview with Paolo! Well.. technically.. you get a full time salary when you're done with your first 6 years and have your medical degree... But you just aren't allowed to practice medicine by yourself. You have to be supervised for another 4 to 6 years depending on what you wanna specialize in. And the hours you make for your salary during those last 4 to 6 years are insane...
Maybe I'll quit once I get my degree, which is only 2 years away |

No idea yet.. Leaning towards either Cardiology or Internal Medicine.. but I haven't seen everything yet.
