It is interesting, you get too know stuff about country you wouldn't otherwise. Like, have you ever heard on the news how nice we are to great artists? No, it's only the bad stuff on the tv. Forums are a good thing, and they're fun

Yes, gives us a place where we all have something in common...   I just remembered that we have a gentleman here by the name of Jack Van Impe... He lives maybe 10 minutes from me... He's a television evangelist who broadcasts all over the world. He's originally from Belgium, and my father-in-law (German heritage) watched him all of the time, for years. He hung onto his every word... Have you heard of him before? He is very proud of his Belgium ancestry. One of my best obsessions at the moment... I definitely don't think we're crazy to love the guy... I don't know how anyone could resist him.  He would have been here in my area June 9, just a couple of days away... Until he had to cancel the Dave Matthews Band tour... I wasn't going to be able to make it, anyway... so I'm not too hurt. It just would have been nice to know he was nearby. I feel so bad for the others who were planning to go see him around the nation, but can't now because of the cancellations...  So sad. But we have the hope of a great new record!!! We can hang onto that... He just had to do what he had to do... Hope it all works out for the best for him. Now, back to Mr. Nutini's music for me... I have to reset my youtube...I had him singing Last Request and it's stopped... Oh, no...  Love it when he uses the lower register of his voice and gets that nasal quality to it... That's amazing! Such a big world an you live almost next to a belgian person
 I know some people who's name is 'van impe', but don't know a Jack. I don't watch tv evangelist, but maybe i've seen him going trough the channels. I think it's about 50% flemish/dutch and 50% french. There's a part of belgium that speaks german too (i'm horrible at it). Paolo is great. Too bad he cancelled that tour, you would have been close to Paolo-energy! Maybe he'll add another date when you can go So excited about his next cd, he's been working on it for a while (and having some fun burning ukeleles ), it's gonna be fab! Wasn't it going to be in the stores in june or am i thinking about an other artist? :s I've got a link for you to check out. Hey Els, Been away for a day going through Paolo withdrawl... We had a tornado here of sorts... and it blew down my favorite tree onto our house... It's history... the tree, that is. Had no power either... *misery* My husband who has been gone away for a few weeks has come home to check things out and is planning to take a chain saw to it soon... Luckily no real damage to the house that he can see. Several neighbors weren't so lucky... Great that the power is back on and I can feed my Paolo addiction again!!! I couldn't open the links you posted... But I found "Funky Cigarette" and "Alloway Grove" at Pinkpop on youtube and watched them... Were those the performances you posted? If not, I enjoyed them anyway! I've been having problems as of late viewing videos on certain sites, sometimes they work, sometimes not... I'll try yours again tomorrow and see if all goes well...I've been channeling that Paolo-energy through youtube as often as possible... since that's about as close as I'm going to get to him anytime soon... lol. I'm getting more excited every day about Kat and Kimpy's upcoming visit to the Telluride gig. Lots of pics promised. Can't wait to hear what they report on the new material he's debuting, as well. Hope someone is there with a video camera! His anticipated album was planned to be released in June, as I remember. But some problems arose... so I guess it's supposed to be out in September now... Hope nothing else gets in the way... I almost can't contain myself as it is now!!! That ukulele incident was too cute!!! Glad they shared it with us.The great sense of passing through... |

Omg, a tornado! Good to hear you're ok. Poor tree! And no electricity, cold turkey on the Paolo addiction The links i posted are the concert he did at Pinkpop and a session. Both links are a couple of songs, but only the sound, can't see the lovely mr. Nutini performing Sometimes the links don't work for me either, and then the next time there are no problems. Computers... weird things Hope you can listen to it too some time Very exciting! There will definitly be people with video camera's. Hopefully they'll put in on youtube for the world to enjoy. Maybe Paolo with put something on his myspace soon September is so far away, we need something to keep us happy (actually still very happy with the first cd, not bored of it at all )Have fun catching up on missed Paolo-time |

Yes, it was hard going cold turkey! I was listening to one of his radio interviews and enjoying it very much at the time when suddenly I thought the world was coming to an end!!! What a way to go... So happy things turned out okay...Computers are definitely weird and wonderful! Wish my nephew still lived in Michigan. He was our family computer expert... I have some problems I need to get taken care of soon... computer has been acting up a lot and I think it may crash soon... So if I just disappear sometime... that's what it's going to be. I'm working on it...Still can't get the links to work... but thanks for trying! It's great that you're not bored with Paolo's CD... because, yeah, we are going to be waiting for sometime... Let's keep our fingers crossed that there will be people there videotaping and willing to share with us... we're desperate, at least I am And I'm ready to hear from Paolo again soon, too... The tornado happened when you were listening to Paolo!? That's not fun (but it never is, i suppose), glad it's not worse. No 'hidden' damage to the house and did you get the tree of it okay?

Tree still is in place... husband is dragging his feet a little... but he'll get to it... Lucky no hidden damage... He checked it out real good. Computer will not let me listen to any of your links for some reason... seems to freeze it up every time... It's still on it's own head trip! Likes to be in control...  I'm going to have to do some disciplining!!! I hope Paolo feels honored to have so many people love him and his music. Don't feel silly you have lots of company!!! He's an irresistable young man! Or... maybe your computer doesn't like Paolo In that case it needs serious reprogramming or killing (it's EVIL!) I'm sure he feels honored, must be amazing to have so many people who like who you are and what you do. Lol, i'm happy to have found some like minded people to keep me company in the "Paolo-fan"-ness. When i was getting ready to go see him at La Savonnerie, i was all excited, couldn't decide what to wear,... and some of my sisters friends where over here, and they asked her what the deal with that Paolo-guy was, 'is he like her boyfriend or something'. They didn't understand how i could be so excited over just a musician. They obviously don't know our boy |
