I guess I'm showing my age when I get so excited about you seeing Neil Young! lol. I caught the tail-end of an interview with him just a day or so ago... I was so disappointed I missed most of it... But I'm going to see if I can find it online. The interviewer is very well-known here in the US-Charlie Rose. So I might have success in finding it.

I've been on a Neil Young trip today on youtube... Also listening to the The Brothers Johnson and Shuggie Otis doing "Strawberry Letter 23," one of the songs Paolo sang at Montreaux. Beautiful, what I call "psychedelic," song. I would have loved to hear him do it all. Paula posted a couple of links showing a tiny portion of it... but when I tried to view them again today it said that they had been taken off. Frowner Hope she can put them back on again... She might have them on her multiply site... I can't remember at the moment... Guess I should take a look.

Well, I hope you find just what you need to lift your spirits here. The anticipation of new Paolo pics and reports should help some! Wink

I was nice being "close" to Paolo. I had this sad moment on Saturday, but got over it pretty quickly, not alcohol needed Wink
In this town near to where i live, there's this coffee shop... I don't drink coffee, but they have this amazing hot chocolate milk. There are 7 different kinds! When you decided which one you want, they bring you a cup of hot milk and some chocolate, and you can put it in yourself! So much fun and totally yummie Wink

A big Neil fan, are you? Don't really know any of his songs, but just his reputation is impressing. I really wanted to see him at the festival, see if he's any good Wink He is.
You know, he did this song i know, a cover of the Beatles, though i can't remember which song it was. I loved it. I'll look up which song it was Smiler I might even find it on youtube Big Grin

Maybe it was "Imagine" by John Lennon? He's done that one many times before...

Mmmm... That hot chocolate milk sounds like a winner! I'm not a big fan of coffee, myself. Very rarely drink it.

My favorite songs of Neil's are "Heart of Gold" and "Old Man." His voice is awesome. He's put on a lot of years, but I still see him in his prime. Smiler Great singer. Still gives me chills.

Glad you got through Saturday okay. Maybe Paolo will be back later in the year and you'll make it to one of his shows then. Let's hope so. Smiler

Thank you! Neil was really rockin' there! Cool Can you imagine, he's almost 63 years old now! Wow. And look at his showmanship and energy. Wish I could have seen it live, and up close to the stage. Cool

Makes me think of Paolo and how many years he has ahead of him yet to entertain us! Smiler

It's amazing what the man does at that age, I was thinking that he would need to take a break during the show to catch his breath or at least needed to sit down... but no, he really had a lot of energy Smiler

Decades of Paolo entertainment... that thought really makes me happy Big Grin Can you imagine what he would look like at the age of 63?

Dashing is my guess, others might say HOT... but I'll always see him in his prime. Smiler

I think you'll get a few more decades of him than I will... Wink

Dashing is a great word to describe Paolo Big Grin I wonder, would he still have all his hair? I can't imagine him with fewer hair :s Wink

I always forget Paolo and I are about the same age (he's younger). A lifetime with Paolo... *dreams* Wink
If not decades (if he decides to change careers *touches wood*), we have the new cd to look forward to Big Grin

If he continues smoking and sunbathing, I don't think I WANT to know. Eeker

Bib I agree-the smoking has to go. Not only for his looks but for his health and his voices sake too Frowner

Dashing fit perfectly. Since I am at that age now, perhaps medical and technological advances will keep him looking and sounding great into his 100's. So many I've known drank, smoked and did drugs as a passage of sorts and they got through just fine. Some of us just didn't make good choices. We all find our way eventually. My concern is what the pressures of success may deal him. He is a fine man, isn't he?

Hadn't thought about that :-s He might look 63 when he's 40. I agree with Bibliomaniac and Paolocrush, no more smoking for Paolo! (just in case the medical and technological advances don't advance fast enough Wink)

It would be nice if he could stop smoking. Mainly, for health reasons. But his voice could be affected negatively, as well. I had a friend that had a beautiful voice, and when she started smoking it changed for the worse. I can often tell whether a person smokes just by the sound of their voice.

This advice is just out of love and concern, Paolo. I have more stories, but I'll keep them to myself. I'm sure you've heard it all.

Paolo's dad is a handsome man. Maybe he'll age just as well as his father has. Smiler
