I'm new to this forum, it's obviously different to other forums I've used lol and I'm just having trouble with one or two things. I've tried uploading my own avatar but I don't seem to have an option apart from any of the photos that come up in the list, how do I do this? Also, it says I have to get specific permission for a html signature, how do I get this granted? Do any mods or admin have to look at my signature first?

We cant use our own avatars we can only use which ever photos are on there. As for your signature have you put the [img]followed by url link [/img]

Upload your photos to photobucket (free register) and use the [IMG] code in either your signature or in one of these windows.

My problem isn't with the forum but I didn't know where else to write this...
On the section of the site with the news I was trying to watch the video that comes with 'the return of paolo' but it always says that the video is private...was just wondering if you knew how this could be fixed or if you get let someone else know?

I think this is maybe batty-Ann's site on Multiply that your trying to view. You need to add her as a friend. Ive been looking on the forum for the video that you talk about but i'm not having much luck locating it.

Ok I understand now. I think everything you need is on batty shares at the link in my previous message. You need to add the Paolo Vault to view it.

Hi! I don't know if it is the right place to ask this but I'd like to know why Paolo's official website does not notify about some events he's taking part. I live in Italy and I missed he playing Candy on a TV programme. On April also he played some songs in Milan and I didn't know anything about that too. Usually artists' websites provide informaton of this kind. I'd like to know where I can find detailed information about things like that. Thanks!

Hey Lisa, I wish I had access to that kind of information to share. I dont think its up to management or Paolo to advertise for TV, thats upto the TV company to 'sell' their show but I understand what your saying. A little more information sometimes wouldnt go amiss.

But isn't it management's job to promote Paolo, and isn't that why he's on the tv shows in the first place?

This probably isn't the place for this post (I'll move it if you tell me in which thread to post it.) but it seems to me that all artists would want to tell their fans about these appearances so they can spread the word to their friends to watch or listen.

Lisa, I've had this problem with other artists and I've learned that if they don't care enough to tell us, then they don't care whether or not we tune in. What other conclusion can I draw? Is it really that much trouble to post a notice on facebook or myspace? I guess it is for some artists.

I'm not saying that Paolo doesn't care. He probably doesn't have much advance notice himself. I would guess that it's his management's job to set up all these appearances for him, so maybe they don't care.

It might be a good idea for you to note which tv shows he appears on and then periodically check the shows' websites. Sometimes they have sections for upcoming guests. (I used to do this and quit because there were so many chat shows, it started driving me nuts - hence my new "whatever" attitude.) And remember, sometimes artists tape shows ahead of time and the performance is aired later.

Oh and as far as any backlash for tv and radio program changes and for some reason the artist does not appear on it after all, the solution is simple.

Tv and Radio appearance template:

"Paolo is scheduled to appear on the (fill in name of show - include time if possible for radio appearances) on (fill in date). Please check local listings for your area [especially important for tv shows] and the show's website (provide link) for more information."

There problem solved. I'm sure we'll all understand if something happens with the scheduling and we can email the radio station or tv show to find out if Paolo's bit will be aired later. I doubt we'll all come on here and chew out the management for giving out the wrong information if it's worded in such a way that makes it clear that his management doesn't fully guarantee Paolo will be on the show that particular day.
