But I really want to read The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath next.

I found a bell jar in the rubbish outside my flat the other day.

I guess Sylvia Plath isn't everyone's cup of tea. I'm one of the only stundents in my English class who doesn't hate her poems.

I was in the bookshop with my friend one Saturday and she was purchasing her copy of The Bell Jar. The man at the till was all "Sylvia Plath, eh? Read too much of her stuff and you may end up sticking your head in an oven..." My friend and I found it rather amusing at the time, but now I think about the whole situation, it was quite a sick joke, which I am disgusting and heartless for laughing at.

I watched a film called Sylvia (about Sylvia Plath's life)
It was amazing, but they make Ted Hughes come across as a complete twat and 100% responsible for her suicide.

Back on topic, I am currently reading The Bell Jar after going to Waterstones to purchase a copy ^^

It's a difficult but rewarding read, isn't it?

I'm re-reading London Fields, as well as Myths & Legends of the 2nd World War.

I'm about to start The Doors Of Perception again.

It was presented to me when I was about 16 by my dear mother, along the lines of "read this, but don't try it. Just so you can understand the power of psychedelic drugs from the point of view of an author and intellectual".

If only she knew. Sorry Mum.......
