Clapton is the most boring guitarist in the world so it has to go to Townsend for Quadraphenia and My Generation alone.

Shame he likes to download paedo though. Confused

One still stands by what Enoch Powell ignorantly spouted off and the other "researched" paedophilia. As people, they're not ones I'd invite around for a cuppa but as guitarists, I'd pick Townshend over Clapton. Only because my favourite, Jeff Beck, isn't listed.

Research for a book which has not materialised - funny that.

Anyway.Back on topic (sort of).

Best guitarist? Hendrix obviously.

Underrated guitarists? Hugh Cornwell & Prince

I though the whole Pedoephile charges were dropped on Pete so he is free from it now. Clapton is called 'Slow Hand' for a reason he doesn't move around like a mad man like Townshend, but I do think Townshend is better simply because he had such a mind that ideas for songs and Rock Operas came into his mind like every second. Clapton is great to. I do also like Hendrix.

The album that made me take up electric guitar:

Absolutely bloody brilliant. The young Clapton is on fire. Raw, burning, full to the brim with red-hot tension and electric emotion.

Perfect in every way.
