Really like the new singles Daddy's Gone.Reminds me of 60s Californian bands and The Jesus & Mary Chain.

Has anyone seen them live?

I've seen them twice live in the last couple of months.

They're not overwhelming, but "Daddy's gone" live is spine-tinglingly good. However, I really dislike the way the drummer plays but they're worth a view. Will try to catch them again at the Scala if my schedule allows.

Yeah, East Kilbride is my favourite part of California, too.

I'll be seeing them in Bristol on Saturday. Got invited by a friend a month or so ago, but not had a chance to listen to much of their stuff yet. Lots of people seem to rate them so I'm hoping they'll impress.

The drummer needs to invest in a better bra and sit down rather than stand up like a right glaiket choob. As for the singer...joe strummer anyone?! I like some of the tracks but the rest is just well crap but it's only my opinion. If this is the only thing that dalmarnock can come up with then my hood needs to get a shifty on with improving the local talent and i don't mean at celtic park.

Saw them at Bristol Trinity (the venue many of us saw the mightly 'Fi play a year ago) last night and they did nothing for me. Found their music dull, couldn't hear any lyrics and the singer seemed to think he was Bono! Disappointing, I expected a bit more after all the hype. Admittedly I didn't know their songs, but usually you can go along to a gig and tell a band are good, this just wasn't one of those for me. Great atmosphere though and a lot of the crowd were loving it and singing along.

Saw them last week in Glasgow wasn't that impressed with them either. Good crowd at the QMU aswell, only really liked the songs I knew the rest just seemd like lot of noise. Don't think i'd make the effort to go and see them again. Enjoyed their set at T in the park better.

They were bet to No.1 by Matalica (who released their album last Wednesday instead of Monday) and still managed to sell 19,000 copies more.
