Morrissey at Ally Pally tomorrow evening, thanks to a surprise win on a myspace competition. So, so, so, so, so excited.

(Hope I don't jinx it like the Roundhouse gig!)

Say "get well soon" to the Pope of Mope for me. Enjoy yourself.

He says hello back, William, and seemed genuinely touched. And, I can report, he is actually looking fighting fit. Not an over abundance of high notes but then again, who needs 'em?

His band is badass, too.

(Only celeb I clocked was Russell Brand.)

Oh, and Alexandra Palace is a brilliant venue for a gig. Really, really good. HF take note, please.

Hahahaha! Tell him it was really nothing.

Yeah, Ally Pally is skill. Have you ever seen Blur's "Alexandra Parklife" video?

If you look closely, after Damon jumps into the crowd, you can see part of his T-shirt is missing, just under the neck at the back.

Well, guess who fancied a bit of impromptu clothing removal that night (and still has the fabric to show for it)?

Wink

Gosh, I can't imagine WHO that might be...

The bloke who originally caught Morrissey's shirt last night showed us the rope burns from where it had been ripped out of his hands. Wouldn't surprise me if there were a couple black eyes. And the bloke next to me was ever so sympathetic when I shouted "bastards" when the drumstick flew over me, about half an inch out of reach of my "crap goalie" outstrectched arms.

Much respect for the guitar player's setlist paper airplane. It went miles. But "nil points" for the half dozen PATHETIC stage invasion attempts. Morrissey was basically openly laughing at them.

Take some of these next time you go:

Really glad you had a good time. Sounds like a scream.

Thanks, it was. But do you know what, I just really like gigs. Strange but true.
