cherrylips: I like Jacques Dutronc, one of the first songs my dad taught me was "Cactus", have you ever listened to his son's music?

Only bought it yesterday so not got fully into it yet. Some of it reminds me of Queen and some bizarrely of the Pet Shop Boys! Helen said it took her a bit of time to get into it and now after 2 weeks she absolutely loves it. What do you reckon? I loved the recent single (which is track 1 on the album) and it sounds great in a club.

i've been listening to it since its release and I'm quite mixed because the first songs of the album (except Uprising and United of Eurasia) are the worst ever (Guiding Light and Undisclosed Desires) but the second half of it is a masterpiece : my favourite ones are Unnatural Selection, I Belong to You (I can't understand a word of Matthew Bellamy's French) and the Exogenesis symphony.

yeah, i remember her being a huge Muse Fan and i can understand her reaction as we both love them since the beginning of their career.

I'm still really enjoying the latest Phoenix album but also the new Wild Beasts album. I saw them live last weekend and thought they were very cool indeed. Would recommend both albums.

I'm diagnosing noise problems I've recently been having in the ol' home studio.

It involves playing a 2-second audio and MIDI loop for a while, waiting for it to **** up, and noting down the settings and time taken to balls up. Then changing a few settings by the smallest degree, and starting the loop all over again. I think I'm going slowly mental listening to it.

I've been doing this for about a week now...

The guy in my office subjects me modern jazz and canadian rock, meanwhile when he pisses off one of the other woman subjects me to Lily Allen on loop. No william I truly think I am the one going mad. Please someone give me some decent choons.

The Smiths - I Don't Owe You Anything

Bought on stolen wine
A nod was the first step
You knew very well
What was coming next

Did I really walk all this way
Just to hear you say :
"Oh, I don't want to go out tonight"?
"Oh, I don't want to go out tonight"

Oh, but you will
For you must

I don't owe you anything, no
But you owe me something
Repay me now
