Who cares? Would you expect them to do it for free? They have to earn a living just like the rest of us.

No I wouldn't expect them to do it for free, there not that nice but thats not the point though is it haven't they got enough money?

In fact my understanding is that Damon took a huge personal financial risk to produce Monkey as well as putting a lot of his own resources into Africa Express. I imagine that, as with most bands, they'll make most of the money off of tee-shirts and that, and maybe licensing any live recordings of the concerts, rather than the ticket price. Doesn't it work out that the ticket price barely covers the cost of the logistics?

In addition I would rather they do reunion concerts than make their money advertising insurance or whatever it is that Johnny Rotten is touting recently. Just as an example.

I was talking about blur not Damon!!! You lot have got it all wrong, Blur are crap Damon isn't, Damon is a very talented individual and that goes to show from his solo projects. Damon doesn't need to do an advert the man just needs to keep the gorillaz going who are a brilliant band. Better than blur for sure.
As for Oasis, hmmm oasis in wembley or blur? Maybe blur could support Oasis one day when they get a bit better.

How are Blur "crap"? Do feel to define that. You may dislike their sound, or what they've done career wise but they hardly warrant being deemed "crap" by someone who seems utterly blinded by his Oasis fanboy status. Is the argument therefore about the other members then? Because the rest of them certainly haven't been sitting on their laurels either.

Rowntree, if he'd been selected, would have been my local councillor and I might well have voted for him had the literature not landed at mines the same day of the local election whilst I was on my way to work Roll Eyes

A breakdown can be done for James and Coxon too, if you like but that's what Google is there for.

Gorillaz are a very different phenomenon and has no relevance in an argument that's been festering, more on one side than other, since you were only 6.

Music is so subjective that it shouldn't be brought into tedious arguments or being run down to make another band/musician attempt to look better. Christ, one of my mates is heavily into Opeth, Lamb of God and other similar bands but he's still got some good taste under all that.

The only real people that need help are those that like Razorshite Wink

It's only an opinion. I don't argue with people who can't be adult about it.

Am pleased to hear Blur are at Glastonbury, as I've never seen them live (although I saw Coxon solo a few years ago) so am looking forward to that.

I am so excited about Blur, I feel quite teenagery about it. It's going to be the Best Day Ever.

Wed for Specials for me and unfortunately Friday for Blur which is a shame as I love the Friendly Fires album.

Don't really like outdoor gigs too much but should be good.
