They were booked on the 10:35 flight. There was a long delay caused by a catering truck hitting another GB Airways plane and causing a knock on effect. Would guess the boys and their equipment only arrived at the TV studio a few minutes before the audience did!
If they weren't knackered then they would have been by the time they arrived back at Ibiza.

so, normally the band play bits of music as it goes in and out for ads, did they still do that...?

Cheers for that, just watched it. I think it will have gone down well with a Friday night TV audience. The fact that it wasn't live really doesn't matter - for a TV audience it's often better not to play live. It's more about how the band look and I think they all looked pretty cool, so it will no doubt have helped the promotion of the new single. Doing a show like that is all about public awareness and is a great way of reaching 2 or 3 million people in the age bracket between 12 and 40.

Also remember the live Cash Machine performance on Jonathon Ross? There was lots of criticism of that performance on here and it probably didn't do the band much good at the time. I reckon that this time they figured it was far safer to mime and concentrate on looking good - save live performance for shows like Jools Holland or when people pay to see them at gigs.

Ooooooooooooooh, my heart just flipped a little bit at the thought of them doing Jools Holland. Is that on at the moment?

Back on topic: I was pleasantly surprised that FNP let them get the whole track in, and I thought the camera direction was quite good, too. I was dubious because the band only usually gets half way through before the end of the credits, and the credits go reet fast. (I do actually have a soft spot for FNP. If the Fi ever played the Charlotte Church Show, on the other hand, I would probably set myself on fire.)

Yeah I could easily tell there were miming. Also never even got to say one word, no communication at all. They looked bored s***less. x

I don't like FNP either - I often start to watch it and then give up because I get bored. I love Alan Carr though, just not on that programme. I started watching it on Friday but got bored as usual and gave up before they performed, but it doesn't sound like I missed too much anyway.

Think there's a new series in Sept. Expect there's a good chance of HF being on it. They put in a great performance on the show back in May 2005. Tied Up Too Tight and Hard To Beat if I recall.
