Knowing that hard-fi write catchy songs, what does everyone think about them perhaps recording the world cup song next year?

Only if they can have John Barnes "rapping" on it.

In all honesty, I really hate sport and all the dumb songs that traditionally go with it (yep, that includes New Order), but I reckon HF could make a pretty decent go of it.

I'd much, much rather they were offered the next Bond theme. There's lots in the OUATITW vibe that lends itself to that, I think.

Didn't Duran Duran do a bond theme, Simon Le Bon certainly hasn't got a strong voice. I would love them to do the next bond theme, but I think I read somewhere that Muse were going to do it. (I love Rich's voice)

I'm pretty sure Rich could do epic given the right circumstance, he's often quite dramatic. I think it's unfair to say he hasn't a strong voice. He doesn't use technique in a commercial/mainstream way but he can pull it out when he wants. He's got good range, a good vibrato, and is very expressive. Plus he sings in more or less his own accent and we don't have enough Bond themes in a British accent. I mean, Sheryl Crow? Really?

I vote the Fi for Bond theme.
