It was in reply to a guy who was claiming that the sleeve of OUATITW is the worst album cover art ever. He then also said he was pleased that the band had now disappeared along with Bin Laden!!

I saw that too Ochs, I actually replied to gigwise yesterday as they had voted OUATITW the 48th worst album of the decade which is completely unjust. I also replied to someone on youtube who said that HF were rubbish live, I asked him which gig he had been to, to make that informed decision, still awaiting that reply. I just wish they would release something soon to shut up all the haters.

That's a good idea. I imagine there's loads of pretty good live footage that we haven't seen yet, too. A full length download of a live track would be great. It seems to me the most loyal fans are those who know how solid HF are live.
Also, I cannot believe people are really hanging onto the palaver over the OUATITW cover. Do people not have a sense of humour? (Although, I did notice that on the Becks website they referred to the second album as No Cover Art.... awkward! )

It's infuriating. We get to the section where the strings die down and he sings the high notes, and I have to autotune the crap out of it.
That joker should stick to what he's good at. And if he calls me an infidel one more time, I swear I'll bash him up with that redundant 1100 that's been lying in the corner.
You in Bath any time soon, Ochs?

Antares Autotune is part of the modern record producer's armoury. It was designed to fix slight tuning problems with singers' voices, but is nowadays used more as a deliberate effect.
It first came to prominence in the public eye with that bloody awful "Believe" song by Cher; the funny jumping around robot sound. A lot of people mistakenly think it's a vocoder (another effect) but it's not.
Recently heard on Black Eyed Peas, Snow Patrol, loads of R'n'B, and our own Hard-Fi's "Move On Now", during the long, sustained "I think it's time we moved on now" vocal lines - I double-checked with Rich that he was using Autotune on that one.
