Here are my photos of the posters at Embankment. Noticed with a smile this evening the big one has also appeared at Finsbury Park, which is a gas because I am there every day. But also, since the mosque is there and the 7/7 bombings made Finsbury Park such a focus in the news and in people's minds, and there are loads of new arrival communities around there from Somalia, Central Africa and also Poland and Serbia - well, I just think it's quite a clever place to put LMHR-related publicity.

Thanks for the link to the interview. I hadn't noticed the CCTV camera either.

Very subtle. I love it. Although, you may have hit upon something there. I can see the lads endorsing whisky in Japan in a Bill Murray/Lost In Translation style.

Have had some fun this morning spotting more HF / LMHR posters. Now at Leicester Square and at the bus stop outside my doctor's, which is really near the old Arsenal stadium. So, clearly the marketing planning is pretty sound. They're spending a packet on it.

Thanks again for the link to the becks website interview. It was a treat to see that footage again - wasn't that from the special they did with the interview with Miquita Oliver? Great to know that someone else remembers it after all, and that it hasn't been lost in the mists of time.

There is a promotional front page spread with pictures of the labels and an interview on the inside cover in Observer Music Monthly.

Couldn't help thinking when I saw that, I wonder if anyone has tried to convince Beck's to put the same kind of marketing budget behind the third album. They're likely spending more on these bottles than both the Fi albums combined! Wink

(And secondly, the sooner the lads get some new promotional photos the better.)

Here here! I won't get started on marketing or advertising. It's just too exhausting to think about after the second album's shenanigans.

I crossed a Hard-Fi cab today! (sorry they are in B&W, didn't have time to change the setting when the cab arrived)

The Hard-Fi cab looks fantastic! I haven't been able to find anything up here in Leeds apart from the odd bottle in a pub.

I haven't seen one bottle yet, but you can't get away from the poster campaign in London. I am kind of fascinated by it, it seems quite random. A poster just appeared at my bus stop on Friday evening, which is over a month since the launch, and there are at least two at Angel tube now, too, which must be new-ish and others have disappeared. It's like their advertising dept just rang up Viacom and hoovered up any spare sites.

Your shots of the taxi are great, cherrylips, lucky that you got to spot it. I'll keep my eyes peeled for it. When I was in marketing it cost the price of a small flat to get a taxi vinyl wrapped like that, most definitely more than it costs to record most albums. Maybe it's cheaper during times of global recession, but still - they are not doing this campaign on the cheap.

Hellooooooo!

Just a quickie to say Becks has always been my fave so was thrilled to see the labels on my 12 pack from Tesco. WTG lads for free beer wahay! We should all post piccys of us having a drink to Hard-Fi!

Ooh, Drama in Swindon - Mozza had a funny turn on stage as I'm sure you all read about. I wasn't there but it was strange to think he was only a hundred yards away in the hospital.

Still waiting for that album.........

Ha! Got to love the guy for trying. I got the Ladyhawke one, too. If it had been the HF one I would have gone back and demanded a few handfuls more for everyone on the board.

Cherrylips, I'm going to facebook you. X

They're all over the place near me, and can't even avoid them on my way to work -

Also managed to find the bottles in Waitrose in Bayswater a couple of weeks back, all of which seemed to be turned Hard-fi side round.

However, from previous experience, a Hard-fi label doesn't improve the taste of the lager.
